LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology allows for highly accurate three-dimensional topographical representation of the Earth’s surface using a laser system mounted on an aircraft. The very high number of 3D points surveyed (up to 400,000 per second) allows the collection of extensive details of the ground and surface features.

LiDAR quickly and easily provides precise elevation data for ground and above-ground features even through dense vegetation.
